What to wear
Dress code: snazzy.
We look forward to seeing you in your bejazzled finest!
Highland dress (e.g. kilts) and any other national costumes are highly encouraged.
Sunnies and woollies
The weather in Scotland is notoriously changeable - often with ‘four seasons in one day’. Please come prepared for all eventualities!
If the weather is fine, the drinks reception will be outside in the Mansfield Traquair’s garden so sunglasses might be useful.
Warm layers are recommended for the evening as the Mansfield Traquair is a large, older building.
Dancing shoes
The evening entertainment will kick off with a ceilidh.
For those who haven’t attended one before, the dancing can be vigorous!
If you are planning to wear very high heels or a particularly expensive, precious pair of shoes, it may be a good idea to bring some trainers for that part of the day.
